"THE PLACE WE LIVE"

“THE PLACE WE LIVE”

As we journey through life, the notion of 'home' evolves. It shifts geographically, demanding our adaptability. Yet, there exists a constant – our mind. Within it’s confines, we reside, traverse, and thrive. The mind, a repository of our thoughts, beliefs, memories, emotions, preferences, and aversions, defines our essence. It is not just where we are, but who we are. The images we manifest onto our chosen mediums are reflections of our inner dialogues and self-perceptions.

In "THE PLACE WE LIVE" exhibition, participating artists, Patricia Fabricant, Ed Grant, Darla Ebanks, Louella Jones and Doba Afolabi delve into their creative realms, drawing inspiration from past experiences while keenly attuned to the ever-evolving present. Here, the internal landscapes of our minds are externalized, offering statements of identity that resonate with the viewer.
